APALA Local Arrangements Committee invites you to join us at the Mingei International Museum in historic Balboa Park. The Mingei International Museum is dedicated to furthering the understanding of art of the people (mingei) from all eras and cultures of the world. We will have a docent led tour through the Mingei Museum Library, in addition to the current collections and architectural features of the newly renovated museum. After, feel free to explore Balboa Park for lunch.
Time: Meet outside the Mingei at 10:45 AM. Tour begins at 11 a.m. and will end between 12PM - 12:30PM.
Getting to the Mingei Museum: If you are driving, free parking is available in Balboa Park. If the park is full, we recommend parking in the Inspiration Point parking lot across from the park and walking or taking the tram into Balboa Park.
If you are using a rideshare, a $15 uber voucher is included with your ticket. Uber vouchers and instructions for applying the voucher will be emailed to ticket holders closer to the day of the tour.
